On Friday 1st November Rishton Cricket Club held their annual junior presentation evening.
The evening was hosted by junior coordinator Glenn Fox, assisted by the team mangers Katy Holden Greenwood, Shaun Hutchinson, Ben Hartley, Mark Leathert, and Chris Kavanagh.
It was a successful season for Rishton’s junior section with the under 15’s winning their (8-a-side) league, and both the under 9’s and under 13’s winning the Hyndburn District indoor 6-a-side competition.
On the evening awards were given in each age group for outstanding performance for batting, bowling, fielding as well as most improved player, managers player of the year and players player of the year and these awards were presented again by club professional Keiren “Grimmy” Grimshaw.
To finish off the award presentations two special awards were given.
The Junior Coordinator award was presented by Glenn Fox to Joe Kavanagh, and the Bill Spence Memorial Trophy for the Junior Player of the Year was presented to Henri Lander by club president Dave Spence.
To finish off the evening Chris Kavanagh presided over Kav’s Krazy Cash Bingo.
